Translate

Translating ContactKeeper yourself:

• Download and save "LanguageFile.txt" to your computer.
• In the [Info] section:
  • Translator = "Your name"
  • Language = The language you are translating ContactKeeper to, as it is called in the language you are translating to. For example: Not "Dutch" but "Nederlands", not "French" but "français".
  This information will be published in the "Help -> About" window of ContactKeeper.
• In the [Translation] section:
  • The lines that begin with a "#" can be ignored, they are only to add some structure.
  • On the left you have the English word or sentence, the intention is that you write the translation on the right side of the "=" sign.
  • Leave it blank if there is a word or sentence you can't translate, then the English term will be used automatically.
• Save and rename the file "LanguageFile.txt" into "<TheNameOfYourLanguageInEnglish>.ini", for example "Dutch.ini".
• You can test your translation by putting your language file (with extension ".ini") in the folder with the other languages (by default this is "C:\Program Files\ContactKeeper\Languages\"). Next you select your language in the menu "Options -> Languages" in ContactKeeper.
• You can use the contact form on the website to e-mail the language file to me.
• I will put your language and name on this page, people will also be able to send you an e-mail by clicking on your name, but they will never see your actual e-mail address. If you want I can always disable this option.
• I will put your language ready to be included in the installation setup of the next version of ContactKeeper.
• You will get a confirmation e-mail from me.
